Overview

AK-4.2000.5Y Automatic Mass Comparators

The AK-4.2000.5Y Automatic Mass Comparator is used for automatic determination of weights mass deviations with the minimum possible participation of the operator. The device allows the determination of mass deviations of up to three tested mass standards with masses from 200 g to 2 kg in one cycle. The AK-4 series sets the highest standard for professional automatic mass comparators.

How Does the Design Affect the Functionality of the Comparator?

The element that supervises the operation of the comparator is the digital module, which cooperates with the controller of the comparator mechanics. The digital module, together with the automatic loader, is located in the mass comparator’s weighing chamber. It is operated via a digital display connected to the comparator controller. The supervising elements are not integrated with mass comparator’s mechanical parts, thus enabling separation of device’s weighing chamber from ambient conditions influence.

How to Implement Calibration Procedures? It Is Very Simple!

A special computer programme, RMCS, is used for the comprehensive implementation of calibration procedures in the laboratory. RMCS system manages the entire calibration process – from the moment of accepting an order, through its progress to calibration certificate issuing. The cooperation of the comparators with the calibration process control software translates into greater efficiency, reliable measurement results, comprehensive calibration documentation, and lower labour costs. The comparators can work in mass measurement laboratories, especially in units certifying class E and F mass standards.

Why the AK-4?

  • It has a 4-position standard magazine.
  • The positioning mechanism guarantees extremely precise positioning of the mass standard on the weighing pan with each rotation of the turntable.
  • The unique design of the weighing pan makes it possible to determine the weight deviations of both one mass standard and two or even three mass standards in a single cycle.
  • mechanical weighing range switch allows the comparison of mass standards over a wider load range while keeping the resolution of the comparator constant.
  • The standard equipment of the AK-4 mass comparator (except the AK/10000) includes an additional anti-draft chamber.
  • The advanced 5Y terminal makes work much easier with its 10’ display and various interfaces.

What Are the Advantages of the Advanced 5Y Terminal?

  • Fully secure login and user verification system using passwords, RFID* tags, fingerprint reader or face recognition mechanism
  • Continuous monitoring of the load on the weighing pan
  • Quick access to commands
  • Numerous widgets
  • Communication with external devices thanks to wide range of interfaces
  • Working modes tailored to your needs
  • History of the last 20 measurements always at hand
  • Constant monitoring of ambient conditions.

The AK-4 automatic comparators, thanks to the elimination of the “human factor”, air drafts and temperature changes, feature the best repeatability of measurements – much better than manual comparators.

Repeatability is expressed as a standard deviation determined for 6 ABBA cycles. Standard deviation is experimentally determined under ambient conditions for calibration of E1 class mass standards specified in OIML R111 (Table C.1.) document.
