Overview

APP 10.5Y.KO Mass Comparator

APP 10.5Y.KO Manual Mass Comparators have been designed to calibrate mass standards and weights according to OIML (R-111) recommendations. Comparators are used in calibration laboratories to ensure consistency of mass measurements and to verify weights according to legal metrology requirements.

What Are APP 5Y.KO Mass Comparators Made of?

The comparators consist of two parts: one housing the electronic module and the other the precise mechanical measuring system. To ensure high measuring accuracy, the comparators use a semi-automatic adjustment system of adjustment with an external mass standard. In order for the APP 10.5Y.KO and APP 30.5Y.KO mass comparator to function properly, a special anti-draft shield which is part of the standard equipment must be used. The anti-draft shield is not an element of standard equipment in the case of the APP 64.5Y.KO mass comparator, but it can be purchased.

Self-Centering Pan for APP 5Y.KO Mass Comparator

The purpose of the self-centring pan is to:
  • Stabilise and level eccentrically positioned weights
  • Place eccentrically group of weights which total mass equals reference weight mass.
The pan surface is covered with cork featuring marks that determine position of particular weight. The self-centering pan is used in place of the standard pan and is fitted at the manufacturing stage of the instrument. It must be ordered together with the comparator, as it is not a separate product that can be ordered at any time.

5Y Terminal in APP 5Y.KO Mass Comparator

With the 5Y terminal, the APP 5Y.KO comparator has gained new properties and functions, such as:
  • 10-inch touchscreen display with user-friendly menu
  • Digital Weighing Auditor (DWA®)
  • Secure login with password, fingerprint, face recognition, RFID tags* or a combination of these
  • Ambient Light alerts
  • Hotspot
  • RFID
  • Text and voice Live Note
  • Voice commands to the device
  • Handy Library with a measurement history
  • Widgets.

What Communication Interfaces Does the APP 5Y.KO Mass Comparator Have?

The APP 5Y.KO comparator is equipped with communication interfaces: USB-A (2), USB-C, HDMI, Ethernet, Wi-Fi® and hotspot, which allow you to connect to:
  • Smartphone and tablet (Hotspot)
  • Computer and laptop (Ethernet, Wi-Fi®, USB-A)
  • Receipt and label printer (Ethernet, Wi-Fi®, USB-A)
  • Barcode scanner (USB-A)
  • Keyboard and mouse
  • Additional screen (HDMI)
