The series of XA 4Y.M.A.P PLUS microbalances is a modern solution for piston pipettes calibration where high accuracy and measurement speed are a must.
They are equipped with reliable measuring system housed in a hermetic casing, this guarantees fast and precise measurement in almost any laboratory conditions. External factors such as air drafts, dust, vibrations, operator competence - all of them generate disturbances that influence the final result of a measurement.

Antistatic Weighing Chamber
XA 4Y.M.A.P PLUS

is a device where the influence of electrostatics onto the

weighing

result has been eliminated due to use of special antistatic coating of the glass panes, and thanks to an in-built ionizer.

The ionizer neutralises electric charges inside the weighing chamber upon placing the sample in it. The lower relative humidity and a reading unit of the balance, the more evident influence of static electricity.

The ionizer neutralises any uncompensated electric charge accumulated on the weighed object. The influence of static electricity gives greater repeatability error, often also greater error of indication. Measurement errors, due to the harmful effects of electrostatics, often reach the value of thousands of reading units and more. The problem concerns non-conductive samples, e.g. glass flasks, paper filters, plastics, etc. The antistatic ionizer implemented in the XA 4Y.M.A.P PLUS

microbalance

is a modern technology solution which compensates both cations and anions. The ionizer activates when the

balance

door opens, and deactivates when the door is closed. It is possible to control ionizer operation using weighing instrument panel. The operation is signalled by blue diode which emits light when the ionizer is on.

The XA 4Y.M.A.P PLUS  series is equipped with 5.7" LCD colour touch screen facilitating device operation and presentation of the results. Complex databases enable users to register, print and export measurements. The weighing instrument system supports 13 languages.

Defined Profiles
'Defined profiles' is a new function, it automatically sets weighing instrument's parameters in accordance with user requirements.
Profiles:
  • FAST – the measurement result is obtained in a very short time
  • FAST DOSING – the

    changes, especially useful for dosing or adding more product to the dispensed portion
  • PRECISION - balance settings providing the minimum standard deviation sd ≤ 1.5 μg,

The new system of the XA 4Y.M.A.P PLUS microbalance levelling guarantees:

Smart Min Weight
With use of the "Smart Min Weight" function, the XA 4Y.M.A.P PLUS microbalance automatically adjusts resolution of the range to the currently weighed mass. This results with improvement of the minimum sample

21 CFR Part 11 Compliance Module
All XA 4Y.M.A.P PLUS

are compliant with 21 CFR part 11 and EU GMP part 4, annex 11. They are equipped with a number of security and monitoring functions that control work of particular operators and an electronic signature. Data protection is guaranteed by:
  • advanced password settings
  • verification of login operation correctness
  • assigning operators with individual permissions
  • auto logout
  • electronic signature, e.g. for series of measurements
  • granting/denying access to data management
  • database backup
  • modifications saved to Audit Trail file
Ergonomic Mechanical Design
Latch-type system of weighing chamber components fastening allows easy and tool-free assembly/disassembly which facilitates keeping the chamber clean, and which makes it easy to install a manual adapter for pipettes calibration.
Smart system of pressures equalization guarantees stable measurement. It eliminates errors generated by rapid change of pressure inside the weighing chamber. A real novelty is an option of lighting the weighing pan up using a LED diode. The diode does not affect the weighing chamber temperature.

Door Opening Automation
The innovative weighing chamber system for door opening and closing guarantees smooth and quiet door movement, and eliminates vibrations that may disturb the measurement. The solution enables to define how wide the door is to be opened.

Pipettes Calibration Adapter
The pipettes calibration adapter enables calibration and/or verification of piston pipettes by means of gravimetric method. It is operated automatically using IR sensors. Evaporation ring is an integral part of the adapter that increases relative humidity inside the weighing chamber. With this evaporation of the liquid during weighing process is stopped.
Use of the pipette calibration adapter reduces maximum capacity of the balance by the

mass

of the weighing vessel.

Faster Measurement with the New CPU
The XA 4Y.M.A.P PLUS microbalances are equipped with Dual Core 2× 1 GHz processor and offer new possibilities of fast operation assuring short indication stabilization time at a respective repeatability.

16 GB Memory - New Possibilities of Data Management
Upgraded 16 GB memory enables record of measurement data in a form of reports, time and statistical graphs.

Remote Operation
Wi-Fi® enables transfer  of 4Y PLUS balances data to iOS or Android mobile devices via special data management apps. Wireless communication between the

and the weighing instrument enables operating the 4Y balance that is placed inside laminar flow hoods and fume cupboards.

Diagnostic function aiming at metrological parameters determination (repeatability), the parameters are determined for the actual conditions of use. When speaking of repeatability it may be also used for weighing time optimization. Autotest is operated in an automatic mode thus operator’s time is saved.
Dosing

Dosing

Weighing process for which reference mass has been determined together with tolerance for its determination. Dosing tolerance is given in [%] and it is calculated in relation to the reference value thus being a permissible deviation of this process. This solution is used for weighing powders, liquids and loose materials. Dosing function performance is often supported with bargraph - load indicator. For industrial scales it is possible to use a control systems of dosing process.
Percent Weighing

Percent Weighing

Percent Weighing function is used for comparision of measured products with mass standard. Mass of a mass standard may be a numeric value taken from a database or it may be determined through a measurement process. Each measured product is compared to mass standard, mass of which is presumed as a model 100% ideal mass. For products weighing less than the mass standard, obtained results are lower than 100%, for products weighing more, the obtained results are greatly  exceeded.
Parts counting

Parts counting

Function using mass measurement for determination of  measured items quantity. Mass of a single item is required for this process. It may be either estimated through weighment or taken from a database. For items counting the following algorithm is used: all items mass / single item mass = quantity. Function operation is supperted by a mechanism of Automatic Correction of Accuracy. This allows to update single item mass in course of the process. To a certain extend Automatic Correction of Accuracy eliminates error which may be a result of different mass values of seemingly alike single elements. For industry solutions items counting may be simultaneously carried out with checkweighing and dosing thus industry solutions feature audio signalling base informing that specified number of items has been weighed. It is possible to apply weighing systems using few platfroms of different MAX capacities and different accuracies.
Formulation

Formulation

Function supporting the mixture making process, wherein the mixture contains various components. Formulation function usually uses the balance/scale database of components. Formulation serves for monitored checkweighing of every single component with a given tolerance. It is enriched with a set of individual settings.

Statistiscs function registers and analyses performed measurements. This supplies the user withthe following information: Max and Min standard deviation, average value, variance, range et.
Checkweighing

Checkweighing

Checkweighing function is used for checking whether the measured sample mass is within the predefined threshold values, Low [LO] and Hgh [HI]. The thresholds are given in [g] and [kg] units. Current state of a sample being measured is signalled by means of pictorgams located on a display for laboratory balances, for industrial scales Stackligt System is used. This visual +/- inspection is in operation during segregation, control or packing process of products for which mass has bees determined with a specifaied tolerance, eg. 12860 g 961

Differential weighing informs about mass variation a particular sample, wherein the said variation is a result of manufacturing processes.

Differential weighing is often applied in product control process, for which reference product parameters have been specified in order to be used as a source of comparison for the whole series.
Insuchcasestandard deviation is the information which tells about quality and completeness of a final product. For systems based on a feed-back technique such information may be used by control units.

ALIBI Memory

ALIBI Memory

"ALIBI" memory enables saving and storing up to 100000 measurements.  Measurements are saved automatically upon each pressing of the key. There is no need for any additional operations or changing settings.
The following data related with the measurements is saved: measurement date; measurement time; result (mass); tare value; operator carrying out the measurement (logged in); product name.
The software saves the measurement in a so called loop, i.e. when the measurement no. 100001 is saved, the measurement 1 gets automatically deleted from the memory.
Measurements saved to balance memory cannot be deleted.
You can preview and print out the data saved to the ALIBI database.
