Overview

Weighing modules are essential components in applications where accurate mass measurement is a priority. They ensure high measurement accuracy, making them an ideal solution particularly in the pharmaceutical, food and chemical industries, as well as in dosing, filling, mixing and process control systems. Thanks to their integration with PLCs and higher-level data acquisition systems, they are used in automated industrial systems where precise mass control is the most critical element of the process; their implementation increases production efficiency and safety and improves quality control.

MAS.Y Weighing Module and Possible Applications

Its compact size and ability to operate without a weighing terminal have made the MAS.Y module a great choice for companies involved in production automation and for machine and automation equipment developers. You will use it in processes that require control, batching and filling. Communication with the MAS.Y Weighing Module can be performed using the ASCII character communication protocol – Radwag CBCP available on the RS232 port or Ethernet.

Standard Equipment:
  • Module with standard weighing pan
  • PT0495 transmission cable with wires terminated with cable ferrules.

MAS.Y Weighing Module – Its Advantages and Possibilities

  • Compactness
  • RS232, Ethernet TCP/IP communication interfaces
  • Internal adjustment

Connect Everything Which Matters – Easy Integration

The MAS.Y Weighing Modules are equipped with a range of communication interfaces which, when combined with the DIN rail adapter, the ‘DIN Interface Adapter’, enable simple and effective integration with the user’s automation systems. The modules can operate as stand-alone devices, without a weighing terminal, or with the 5Y terminal. Parameter configuration can be performed from the terminal or using the free RConfig Studio software designed for this purpose.

Weighing Modules Applications

MAS.Y Weighing Modules are used in robotic applications. They guarantee accurate and repeatable measurements in automated weighing processes. The modules are also utilized in high-speed industrial automatic weighing systems. They ensure precise mass measurements whilst maintaining high process throughput. The MAS.Y Weighing Modules are equally applicable in automatic dosing systems, including in mass production, such as in pharmaceutical processes. They enable accurate and repeatable dosing of ingredients.
